Integrity Principles

At Provenance, we want to enable citizens to access and trust in business sustainability efforts beyond today’s marketing hype. For us, this means that when you see a claim you should be able to answer these 3 questions with an affirmative:

  1. Do I know what it means?
  2. Is it backed up by data?
  3. Do I know who is making that statement?

To ensure this happens, we’ve come up with 3 key principles:

  • Standards are transparent
  • Every claim comes with evidence or third-party verification
  • Each data point is clearly attributed
